How do you check ME CYLINDER LINER and PISTON RINGS?

Check when inspection through peep hole with scavenge space inspection.

• Check piston rings with the help of a wooden bar, check tension of the rings to know whether the ring is broken or not. If ring broken there will be no spring action.

• Check all rings for freeness in the grooves by mean of press or turning ME for piston move up and down. We can see might get stuck due to carbon deposits. Clearance we can check by feeler gauge.

• Liner and ring are checked for scuffing marks, scratch, abrasive worn out and damage and overall condition is also assessed.

• Check for carbon deposit condition on piston crown.
