Knowledge about ship’s crane? Experience? Trouble of crane you have ever experienced

a) Before arrival at port, we must check all items related to Deck Crane as Electrically part ( insulation test for motor, inspect all contactor, fuses, Limit switches…), Hydraulic Oil part (Oil Pumps, Valves, pipe line & Oil Tanks)

b) During ship sailing at sea, all maintenance jobs must be completed as greasing- up, cleaning L.O Strainers, supplying L.O, insulation Test for motors…

c) Study about emergency operation, using of emergency pump, by-pass switch for securing crane, change-over switch for using grab or not.

d) Safety devices must be tested every months (Limit switches, overload relay,… )

e) Reports & Records: Deck Crane Safety Devices Test Record, Deck Crane Maintenance Report.
